Volunteer at the Good Earth Food Co-op

Ther are a number of ways to get involved please read below!

As a member of the Good Earth Co-op you are eligible for our Working Member Program.

This is a fun opportunity to get more involved with the Co-op and meet other Co-op members.

While participating in the working member program you will be entitled to a blanket discount on all your purchases at the Co-op. The co-op uses a sliding scale to determine your monthly discount.

1.5 hours of time = 1% discount not to exceed 15%.

Hours worked each month will be applied to the following month discount.

This discount can be used each time you shop!! What a deal!

Only members in good standing will be allowed to participate. (No outstanding payments)

Some areas you can participate in are:

Membership Committee: This committee is guided by a board member as chairperson. Plan fun and creative ways to broaden our membership, listen to our members, and reach out to the community

Field Work: Each year the Co-op participates in community events such as, Granite City Days, Sauk Rapids Farmers market. These events give us the opportunity to reach out to the greater community.

Events: In- store events such as: Summer Friday Cook-outs, Earth day.

Fundraising: Occasionally the Board of Directors will conduct a fundraising event for the Co-op. We may need a new freezer or want to raise money to start an outreach program for children.

Friday and Saturday Food Demos: If you love food and people this is for you! Fun interaction with people! And yummy food!

Have fun feeding people our great foods! We need member volunteers for food demonstrations at the Co-op. Friday evening from 4:00pm to 6:00pm and Saturday from 11:00am to 1:00pm. or Sat. 4:00pm to 6:00pm

Members needed for our Board Committees

1. Membership Committee, works to promote ownership in our Co-op with fun activities for members and ideas to gain new membership.

2. Board Developement Committee, good way to find out what the Board of Directors are all about. Work on Board elections, work shops for Board developement.
